Here is my research fro 1-877 My Juicer.
I have ordered from them in the past (to get a dehydrator and spiral slicer) and they are good for somewhat fast shipping.

Note: I have just sent them an e-mail to find out if they are willing to do bulk orders on kitchen gadgets, I'll let you know when I hear back from them.

1-877 My Juicer:
Prices below all prices are US Dollars, as listed online from: http://www.877myjuicer.com/

Note: 1-877 My Juicer DOES NOT sell Cuisinart or Kitchen Aid Food Processors!
We can compare prices of these at a later date when we have enough people to do a bulk order.

Blenders:
VitaMix Turbo-Blend 4500 Blender with 64 Carafe-New Model $399.00 5 year warranty.
this model grind nuts/seeds (makes nut butters) as well as processing wet ingredients.

They have a lot of other brands of blenders, however, the VitaMix I feel would be the best choice for a raw vegan.

Note: On the VitaMix Canada website this model is NOT available. They have the 5000 (refinished only) and 5200 models available. The price range for these are $499.00 CAD to $779.00 CAD, however, they have a 7 year warranty instead of 5. I feel it would be best to go with the 4500 model blender since it will be more affordable.

Dehyrators:
Excalibur brand only mentioned below:

4-Tray Food Dehydrator Model ED2400 $109.00
$119.95 of Excalibur Official Site

5-Tray Food Dehydrator Model ED2500 $179.95
$189.95 for 5 tray on Excalibur Official Site and 5 Tray with 26 hr timer @ $209.95

9-Tray Food Dehydrator Model ED2900 $209.95
$219 on Official Excalibur website, however option to get 26 hour timer model @ $249.95

Non-stick ParaFlex Premium (will fit the 5 tray and the 9 tray model only) $8 per sheet.
ParaFlexx Premium Non-Stick Fruit Leather Sheets (will work for 4 tray model) $6.50 per sheet.

FYI: these are the sheets you use when making cookies, fruit leather, anything liquid that won't do well on the mesh sheets, I use these all the time, they are very useful.

There is a August special for raw foodies on the Offical Excalibur Website:
If You Place Your Order Before Aug 31, 2008 You will Receive:

Juicers:
There are a lot of different type of juicers: centrifugal, masticating, citrus, manual, stainless steel, twin and dual gear. I thought I would make things easy and just see the prices on the “Champion Juicer” since I have heard this is the best one to have as a raw foodies.

Champion Juicer:
Household 2000 Plus Model G5-NH-853S (Multi Colours available) $209
On Official Champion Juicer website, their price for same model: $239.00

Vegetable Spirilizer (the appliance you need to make raw spaghetti)
Metro Garnisher, Spiral Slicer-1645 $16.99 this is a manual machine, not a plug-in!

here is the answer I got from 1-877 My Juicer in regards to if the seeds they have for sprouting in bulk are organic: "The seeds are all natural but not certified organic." I have asked them for clarification as "all natural" is very vague!

hi everyone,
I just got an e-mail back from Andrew of 1-877 My Juicer.

Here is what he says in regards to possibly doing a bulk food order on food dehydrators, vitamix etc.

That sounds like a great club! I am glad that more people are going to join the quest for health with you!

We would be happy to try and extend to you a better price. All of the items (except for the Garnisher) have some room to work with. The Garnisher is a pretty slim margin item to begin with so we might not have any type of special pricing on that one.

Can you give me an idea of the total number of units of each you are interested in and I can work a quote for you?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

So it sounds like now I need to figure out how many people what a dehydrator (a 5 tray or a 9 tray, it's a bit too complicated to get a 4 tray, the "cookie sheets" you need to order a special size).

they also the the 4500 vitamix on the website I believe, a great price compared to the 5200 that is on the official vitamix website.

and there is also the vegetable spirilizer (what Andrew called the Garnisher, it makes raw spagetti) that people may be intested in.

I think we should first just order a bunch of dehydrators and then we can order perhaps a bulk order of vitamixes for instance.

Diane: is there a way to create a poll when you post something on the forum? I would like to make a poll and ask who is interested in either a 5 or 9 tray food dehydrator, that way I can give Andrew rough #s of how many in the group are interested.

Here is what "all natural" seeds means:

"All natural means they are produced in an organic fashion without any chemicals, however they are not inspected to be qualified as “certified organic”.

Are we still interested in ordering these if they are not certified? Please post your comments/concerns.
