I am looking for two vegetarian/vegan roommates to join my meat-free household for May 1st. I have a bright & spacious 3 bedroom main floor suite just a few blocks from Commercial Drive.
Myself, I a raw vegan and full time student at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition. My ideal roommate is tidy, a non-smoker (but 420 friendly, outside only please) and environmentally conscious (we compost & recycle). We don't have any pets but a cat would be great if you have one!
The 1st bedroom can be yours for only $440 per month plus an additional $6-10 for shared household expences (TP, kitchen soap, you get the idea). The bedroom is small but warm with a hardwood floor and a bright window facing east into the back yard. This room is a sublet, it will be available from May 1st until the end of August.
The 2nd bedroom can be yours for only $560 per month (plus shared household expences). It is a good sized room, warm with hardwood floors and it has a window facing our neighbours who have a jungle of a garden!
The house is just 4 blocks away from the best part of Commercial Drive, where you'll find 4 grocery stores (Sweet Cherubim, Drive Organics, Eternal Abundance and the East End Food Coop), Grandview Park and the Britannia Community Centre & Public Library. The house is close to the #20 Victoria/Downtown bus route and a short walk to the Broadway/Commercial drive skytrain station.
But wait, that's not all! I have a huge kitchen stocked with all sorts of plates, cutlery, pots, pans and kitchen gadgets for you to use, a giant living room with comfy couches, a dining room area, wireless internet, 2 bathrooms (one of which has a bathtub & shower with plenty of hot water). I even have a spare futon, computer desks/chair, clothing dressers and a bookcase you can use in your room if you want it.
